I’m so sorry, darling. I’m guessing they put you at a shitty-ass pool? Which one is it? I know how much it sucks, last summer was my second summer at SLCP and I pretty much wanted any other pool because I didn’t want to be inside two years in a row and lo and behold, that’s the one they gave me. They honestly suck with giving people request sometimes like I honestly don’t even think they look at our requests half the time.
You have every right to complain and vent, okay? I pretty much said every swear word I knew when I found out last year. It’s a really shitty thing to do to you, and it’s really shitty that even if we might want a different job, we need the money and after spending so much time and money on all the courses, it feels like we have to do it. But if you do find a second job that you think might make you happier, honestly, just go for it. Don’t let yourself get stuck in this one if it makes you stressed.
I know you probably don’t want to hear encouragement at this point, but remember last summer was the summer I met you despite my placement and despite how much I thought the summer would suck. And I’m not gonna lie, it was really tough at points, but I am eternally grateful for it, because I was able to meet and become friends with you :) So hopefully you’ll have a really awesome staff and they’ll make it a little better like you made it better for me. And as soon as I get back, I will try to take as many shifts as possible with you, and hang-out with you.
But honestly, don’t feel guilty for being upset. You have every right to be, just as you have every right to vent as much as you want. I’m here if you ever need somebody to rant to
